Haleakala National Park

Recorded January 19, 2004. Haleakalā National Park is located on the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii. The main feature of this part of the park is undoubtedly the famous Haleakalā Crater. It is huge: 7 miles across, 2 miles wide, and some 2600 feet deep. The interior of the crater is dotted by numerous volcanic features, including large cinder cones.
